Risk & Safety
Production risk assessments, location recces and safety advisers who understand the shooting day. Clear, useful advice for the people responsible for making it happen.
The production, properly understood
The script, location and schedule all shape the risk. An assessment needs to reflect how the production will actually work.
We review the planned activity, identify the hazards and develop proportionate controls with production and the relevant departments. The result is a document people can use, with clear responsibilities and a basis for updating it as plans develop.
On site and on set, our safety advisers help the team apply those decisions, respond to emerging issues and keep the practical detail in view.
How we can help
Assessments shaped around the production, its people, locations and planned activity.
Identify the practical hazards and constraints before they become shooting-day problems.
A practical point of advice during the working day, including when the plan changes.
Help production bring the right specialists into the decisions around higher-risk work.
A useful outcome
Agree the brief with us: a document, a recce, a day on set or support across a production. We’ll define the scope and outputs so you know what you’re commissioning.
The actual activities, location conditions and people exposed to risk, with the basis of the assessment recorded.
What needs to happen, who needs to act and which matters require specialist input or further information.
Review points and practical support for changes to the schedule, location or activity.
Before you book
Yes. We can scope a single day of on-site or on-set safety advice, a recce or a defined period of production support. Tell us the location, hours and planned activity so we can discuss the right brief.
A desktop assessment may be appropriate where sufficient reliable information is available. If the location or activity needs to be seen, we’ll explain what a recce or further specialist input would add.
We agree the review arrangements at the outset. Material changes to the location, activity or people involved may require the assessment and agreed controls to be revisited.
